:yeahthat: i really don't think we can compare exige bilsteins with Nitrons*. Thats my personal view anyway. *Save maybe for the NSS, but they aren't proper Nitrons :P

Seriously? You mean you can't compare £500 shocks with ones worth three times as much? ;)

I guess so. Its hard to say what multipe times better (if we're going to try to compare to multiple times more or less expensive) or worse actually means in reality. So is a Nitron three times better than an Exige Bilstein? The answer has to be no, because when it comes to doing what a damper is supposed to do then they both do it admirably. So if you take the view that holding that car up, being made of quality materials, minimising road imperfections, creating a car that is pleasing to drive is say 90% of the game then i suppose i would say that the difference between the Nitron and the bilstein is in single percentage terms. But, in my view it is those last few percent that make all difference and which cost exponentially more to achieve. And those last percentatges to me mean that you can't really compare the two.

I honestly think performance wise my car on GAZ golds will stick to a car fitted with nitrons. Am i confident in my GAZ, no. If i have a problem with my suspension who's best? GAZ all day long and they are half the price so you make your mind up.

Are you suggesting the evolution of suspension manufacture peaked with the invention of cheap two piece shock with a history of premature failure....? No product in the entire Nitron range will offer superior performance..... Who even mentioned Gaz anyway we're on about billies

 There are more products than nitron out there. Personally i wouldnt spend the pounds on them as i feel they have no gains over the cheaper competitor. All in my opinion of course.

So you're saying (that your opinion) there are no performance gains available over Gaz golds in the whole VX suspension world.....?

Of course. But i dont feel like i can justify the extra pounds for something thats barely noticable. I dont think my car handles any worst than wrightstuff's car and thats had the hole CF nitron set up and the hoffmans nitron set up. I suppose it all comes down to £ but my setup works for me at a low price and i wouldnt splash the cash on more expensive products. That said i was really impressed with the way your car handled at le mans. But thats a trackcar not a road car and once again has had big money spent on it.

Without going over a 4 year old thread I cant see how you can compare them with such a large price difference. So my question would be gaz or exige billies?

SO what you're really saying is that you can't tell the difference. That's not the shocks, that's you

Exige Billies or Nitron, is that a serious question? Nitron every day of the week.
