I'm recovering from a broken tibia and fibula, which is bad enough, but you've hit the orthopaedic jackpot there mate. Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.

:yeahthat: That's exactly what I thought when I saw the 2nd picture. Please tell me the fire brigade cut it off to help remove you from the car?

Thank you for all your comments it feels nice to be kinda still part of the vx family. i have answered a couple of questions below....

Ouch, nowt worse than having broken legs and arms at the same time - i bet it's a nightmare wiping your own arse!! [i speak from experience :P ]

yes its a nightmare! and having someone else put your pants on for you is not the best either!!

Do you think a harness rather than 3 point belt would have helped considering the state of the windscreen and your noggin?
How long until people ask which breakers the cars been taken to? Looks like the spoiler is still intact

yeah i do think if i had modded my car to a 3 point belt i would not of hit the screen.
and if i ever find out which breakers it goes to i'll be sure to let you all know, i did sit here looking at the pics thinking ''ooh i could sell that bit and that bit,,,'' !!

I'm recovering from a broken tibia and fibula, which is bad enough, but you've hit the orthopaedic jackpot there mate.

you still got some bad injuries there mate, i hope you are up and about very soon :-)

Not sure about the roll over hoop, i can only guess the fire service cut it off to get more access to me??
i shall keep you all up dated on my progress and on my case.

cheers

Nick

Unless there was a major problem with your standard three point belt, if the cars deformed enough for your head to hit the screen whilst wearing a three-point belt, you still would have hit it in a harness.

That said, are you sure it wasn't the dash/wheel that you hit your head on, as that would be more consistent with the rest of you injuries
