Will be interesting to see how the spoiler looks when its painted. I'm looking into DIY anodising my spare fuel cap and surround which should arrive tomorow. Keep an eye on my project thread for details

yeah im looking forward too seeing the spoiler, i think it should look quite nice (i hope  ) the finish is really good on it, hard to show in photo's, so feeling confident.

yeah will keep my eye on your thread , i should think it could be straight forward. good luck! - do it tomorrow so i can see for mine

ok, have spent the whole weekend on the car to get it back on the road................

somethings still need doing, fitting a new heat shield when arrives monday/tuesday, adjusting the bonnet, fitting the side vents and other little niggles! but will do this over the next weeks.

also still things i want to do, rear splitter and a few other things but will update when doing/done.

well i am so shuffed with the result. cant believe how different (better) the car looks. and the paint job is done to an amazing standard!!

the pics were taken at 6 o'clock, so the light it quite dull (reflection on the colour). but when i get some other bits done on it in the next couple of weeks, i will post some more! may even post some other ones in a couple of days when i get to take some photo's in bright day light!

will also get some pics this week with the roof off, as i think the seats look brilliant with the colour!!

I've enjoyed watching you put this car right - Well done... Super quick time too Imnotworthy

NOTES TO THE OLD OWNER

Just in case the old owner if reads this - You should never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever be allowed to own any kind of car again

I dont know what is worse:

the amount of money spent getting it to look like that chav-mobile ( 2 Microns alone are not cheap )
the fact he/she thought it looked good
That you would want to do that to a light weight "drivers" car

I've been on autotrader and found you you ideal next car

Shame it's not in brown though

Massive improvement! Top work mate :) The only thing I would have done would be to remove those ducts on the front clam, it would probably have been a major PITA but worth it IMO. Even so it still looks good thumbsup

This is an amazing story, the only critiscism I have is the vents to the front clam. But considering the work you're done on it this doesn't even account for 1% of my opinion on it. I think it's incredible and doesn't even look like the car it was before (which is a good thing) It's now perhaps in better condition than when it came out of the showroom, certainly aesthetically. You're going to be bored now though, you'll have to look for another project lol

thanks chinky chinky

im well happy with the results, still alot more to do which should keep me busy (on going project), when im finished with the exterior to how i want it, i will then start on performance - may go SC route. but will keep updating this thread.

but i might find another project as i enjoyed it so much and the result is very rewarding. we'll see.

Well done Alparks, you have transformed that poor little car and it is now a credit to you and .org. I look forward to seeing the car in the flesh at some point in the future. At least we can now reduce the charges bought against the old owner from murder to attempted murder!
