I have no desire to get too familiar with the Pig either, but was something about buying a pig in a poke, which in the excitement, for those so inclined, the 'in' got transposed to a 'for'.....well that's my excuse anyway!

lol jed. got you. another one i hate (not a silly one as such, i just hate how over used it is!) at the end of the day. AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!! i got that in my head, over it that if anybody uses in conversation with me i interrupt them with 'it's usually nighttime' 'the thing is at the end of the day...' 'it's usually nightime.' pisses people off, but bollocks to them. serves themselves right.

...which brings us onto over used phrases that people stick in all over the place in their sentances for no reason.

To be fair... I'm not being funny but... the thing is... at the end of the day... etc.

e.g "<insert any of the above phrases here>, we need to sort out the content before working on the graphics".

None of them are neccesary and add anything to what you're trying to say, other than to padd the sentance out a bit. Grr! :angry:

how about the constant interjection as appropriate, of... ...is to be fuman, yes you are/or no you're not, not a bad horror movie, etc?

I had an ex-girlfriend who used to bore me to death with 'he said, she said' stories. The thing that fcuked me off the most was when she said "I asked [name] what he was doing and he turned round and said ..."

What? He was facing away from you when you asked the question and he had to turn round to answer it? No? WHELL DON'T fcuking SAY IT THEN!

That still does my head in now.

something else that occurred to me the other day whilst out shopping at tesco. a young mum called her little 3 year old son a silly little bugger when he began to wander off. i'm not a bleeding heart liberal (another one - call an ambulance!) but it seemed a little over the top of her, openly and loudly and in public, accussing her first born of actively participating in anal intercourse. outrageous.
