I've got a couple of handsets that someone is welcome to borrow as I think I'm going to have to bale out on the trip.

Basically just rapidly running out of time. :(

Car is still not MoT'd or taxed (currently SORN'd after I killed it at Silverstone) and the new engine is on zero miles. Don't want to risk the emissions testing and them leaving the car idling or revving the nuts off it to get it hot enough, until it's clocked up a few miles and bedded in at least a little bit. Which I obviously can't do without the car being road legal. Still need to sort out my fuel pump problems after waiting 11 months for ProAlloy to not come up with a solution (although some light on the horizon now, thanks to Cliffie). Am absolutely paranoid about mis-fuelling after the damage it did last time, so need a health check and mapping at Courtenay's before it goes near a track (which also means racking up some miles before it goes on the dyno). Now to round it off, I need to be in Chester all of next week and probably the week after.

Monday morning blues.

can you run it down to Back on Track , they can get an MOT on it , I would put the big pulley on , you don't need much boost to bed in the rings and bearings, plus fuel delivery should be within standard pumps and maps calibration.

maybe dunsfold track, talk to Graham@plans , there is an onsite MOT station there as well iirc.

anyway you are not the only one up against it to get their car prepped for the trip.
