can i ask So wot stopped you from buying lighting then. Because it really had some work put into it

Well yes if you saw it from a distance.....

If you looked up close, the paint job was awful and the price stated on the program was about £2/3k too much. Other than that it was a bargain thumbsup

Mmm. Yes I remember the show, and you certainly did not come across very well. Seemed as though you wanted a Ferrari for Mondeo money. What did you buy in the end, a punto? thumbsdown

Fair play to the fella, I wouldn't have bought the LY either as it was... well.. yellow and £3k over priced and had been crash damaged. If I was him and had fallen for the VX then I would have gone out and bought a different one either better for the price or saved myself a few bob. If you have a VX now welcome.

About 3 grand overpriced, thats why. Its important to know that I had no idea what car I was receiving until Dom showed me it. And the cameras were rolling all the way through to record my reaction.

Ya TIT.. You thougth it was worth just 10.5K 3 years ago and they had paid 10,750 for it CRASHED. Just goes to show how mch you really know about cars. A simple quick call could have confirmed its worth.

It could have been yours for 13,200 and you walked away..That was pratically a new car you walked away from. . Someone got a real nice car there.

Excuse me, what?

Did it not occur to you that they might have paid way over the odds for it in it's crashed state? I traded it in before it was written off for £13750. How can you tell me that the same car, now with cat D showing on HPI, a crap paint job, more miles on it, missing service history, no soft top (unless they got hold of another) and at least 6 months down the line is worth a mere £550 less?

He did the right thing to walk away.

they should have known it had previously had another whack from behind as it had n/a front lights and turbo rears.

That was a bit of a puzzle to me - it didn't have turbo rear lights when I had it. The new owner had it for a matter of a couple of weeks before writing it off. So either he did the change or they were changed when it was in the trade before he bought it (which was quite a while) or it may even have been done after the crash.
