I'm not sure why there is all the hostility

The only time the car made money was as a wreck.
The only person to profit from it was the canny git that sold it to the show makers.

Where's that burning torch and pitchfork smiley gone?
I think there should be a poll thread titled "Would you have bought the VX220 on Wrecks to Riches?"

The outfit that rebuilt it for the TV program were just around the corner from where you work! I don't know much about the VX story but know about an Audi S4 Avant Oh & they went bust a long time ago.

I saw the car, after the rebuild but before TMS has redone a lot of it. And it was a complete mess. I wouldn't have paid 13k for it, and i wouldn't have paid £7k

I'm not a hostile fella and usually let this stuff float past me on the tide but for some reason this guy has really wound me up.

I even agreed with him at first but when I found out he was in it for a quick buck it really riled me.

Me and Mrs Cliffie were the subject of a programme called The Wedding Planner which followed us during the build up to and on the day of our wedding. It was a 30 minute jobbie and was good fun.

Sadly not, it was the one that simply filmed us spending £18k of our own money on a wedding and the Mrs turned up half an hour late for the ceremony.
