The speedo is the rear pass side hub sensor. Heres what I'd recomend....
Wheel off (after jacking it up!!)
separate the two halves of the white abs sensor plug/
check the wiring from plug to hub (often gets worn through right next to the hub)
Look in the plug and find the latches that hold the terminals in.
Free the terminals (one at a time) by levering the latch with a small screwdriver and pulling it out.
Give it a good clean!
Add some oil to the terminal and some electrical grease (usually white) to the little seals
Put that terminal back and do the next.
Do all 4 on each wheel sensor and plug back in.
Do all four wheels!
that hopefully should give you speedo and extinguish the abs light (assuming its a sensor issue - op-com will tell you that)
The op-com will tell you which wheel sensor is 'open' but I'd still recomend doing all 4.

thanks FLD, i will get the op-com up and runnign and see how that turns out.
I am sure it will be a bad connection, i had to do both the rears, the wire was shot inside one and nothing to solder or clean so i bought a new hub.
