Is it me or are all the holes missing ie side indicators, mounting holes, headlamp fixings etc
Also you need to align the bonnet correctly adjusting the hinge bracket as this cannot be done with the clam fitted.

Hi Mate, yes the holes are filled in as this clam was from MVS racing, their there, you can see them or at least where they need to be.
This is why i decided to let my bodyshop take care of the fitting, the bonnet hinge has been slightly bent too so best he sorts it out.

The body shop specialise in restorations, ive seen a local vx, lotus's, tvr's and a ferrari come and go from the garage over the years as i work opposite (for about 20 years) so im sure they will be able to line everything up ok.
I'll prob get an ear bashing by the end though!

You'll definitely need to stick some ducting in there, if you're not fitting the fog lights. I know of one VX'er who lost his arch liner and a good chunk of the sill at high speed, due to the force of the air coming through the fog light holes, with nowhere else to go. :o

Ok i gave this some more thought and decided i would be better off getting a set of fog lights and brackets before it goes in for fitting as what you mentioned above would happen to me!!
Thanks to Leevx2.2 i hopefully have a set on the way thumbsup

Gotta get everything ready for the trip to the body shop on Monday, hopefully i have everything i need, just gotta get the other headlight bracket from Vauxhall tomorrow, perhaps some mesh for the front grill, not too bothered about the towing eye.

Hopefully the next pic i add will be complete. :D

Popped in to the bodyshop today to see how its getting on, clam has been on and off a few times being lined up and has now been pinned and glued together, gotta wait 24hours to dry, front bonnet has been repaired too, might try and get a few pics of her in the morning.

Who was teh VX'er that lost his arch liner?

The Exige has air vents where the fog lights are on the vx - they sort this problem by having grilles in the front of the wheel arch liner. No sure if they are actually to cool the brakes too or just minimise pressure in the wheel arch - either way, if you had left the fogs out you could of fitted exige wheel arch liners, or cut your own grilles in the existing vx liners.

You can see the grilles on the wheel arch liner in the below link (item 2)

I received the wrong fittings for my HID lights so i have to source the correct plugs before i can use them, the fog lights too have different connections.

We noticed the passenger wheel was out of geo while fitting the clam, i wasnt looking forward to the cause of the problem but the garage noticed this

Needless to say i was very happy to find out it was this, so next up is order a new ball joint and get the wishbone off for refitting.

Still waiting for my windscreen, sitting in a unit somewhere in Lancashire. Hopefully my courior will be in the area this weekend then i can get the car in for MOT
