Cheers guys, the insurance company will be sorting. Probably at the usual extreamly slow rate though. The re-spray i had in mind for next year has been brought forward slightly. With the current wait on clams though and me going back to afghan in march i probably wont see the car again now untill October :( Then funny old thing get it booked into courtenay for next winter again

Oh no, thats terrible, especially after all the hard work you've undoubtably put into it over the last year prepping it for stage 4. From the pics, it looks to me like the insurers will write it off, with your skills though you could consider re-clamming it and fixing it yourself. I am sure you will get lots of support and help from others on here, I for one would be willing to drive up for a weekend and help you pull it apart and re-build it :) Though in practice it might be a LOT easier to simply buy one of the stage 4s that are currently on the market. Total poop, sorry for you dude. :grouphug: I live in fear of doing the same with mine once it's back on the road. This is a problem we all face if we put our emotions into out plastic roller skates  Nev.

It was just to cover the stone chips on the front and a little bubbling around the bootlid. No big lumps of paint missing or anything so may be ok.

I'll wait till they've paid me then try and get them down on the buy back value

And of course any stone chips and bubbling were as a result of the accident. ;)

Really, really sorry to see this. > there was 2 more cars in the barrier at the same place. At least you know it wasn't due to you driving badly. Some accidents are unavoidable, sadly.

Yes there was a couple more after but still completely my fault. Should of been doing 5mph instead of 30mph on the duel carraige. Drive to the conditions and all that. Just been to look at it again. All suspension and wishbones are fine. Rear toe link has snapped at the threaded bit on the inner joint. Front upper hub carrier bolts have stetched a little. Radiator has a leak where the bonet pushed into it. Crashbox hasnt been touched at all!! Radiator housing is broken in a couple of places. Front and rear clams are totaled. Pass side sill has 2 cracks near the ear. 1 headlight is the only one of 4 left haha. Bonet has a few gouges in it. Will be written off then really. So parts required: Front clam Rear clam Toe links (will be new) Hub carrier bolts (already have) Pas side headlight Rear lights Radiator + housing. Should be drivable again pretty quick but sourcing the clams may be a bugger.

Last time I spoke to Mark at autovaux he said they had some lights, may be worth a call as he was saying they will be discounted. That is if you're planning a re-build.

Front wheels a little muddy

As you can see the top bolts have stretched. Hopefully just a matter of replacing the bolts

Man i'm gutted for you. I only live in Sherfield Park so if you need any help with the re-build should it come to it I am always happy to lend a hand/make a cuppa! I can't see the pics yet, but having driven to the station this morning at 6 30 in -10 degrees the roads were absolutely shocking. And there is not really anything to do as the salting get diluted and stops working at about -5 degrees. Coming onto the ring road was a bit of a shocker. Slip road from the A33 was fine, but the amount of ice in both lanes on the ring road was atrotious. Had a pretty hairy moment in the Clio there myself this morning trying to slow down from the relatively OK conditions on the slip road. Hope everything is sorted quickly for you. :grouphug:

Bad luck :( Obvious economic write off, guess you just need to decide on buy back and repair with ebay parts or just go buy a new one.

Are you actually blaming this on Diesel, or was that just a flippant comment? It is much much more likely to have been ice this morning... regardless even if there is diesel the insurance company would not take it into consideration... :(

Thats the guy that was the passenger. All the damage is his side haha.
There wasnt actually any diesel it was just the -12 temps and ice that helped. Its just that diesel and Bridgestone are the normal excuse culprits :D
