Fair play mate. Where abouts on the ring road is it? Can't work it out from the photos? I have to say having seen some fairly horrendous looking accidents there is always very little damage to the cockpit/passenger area. Glad you are ok. If you get withdrawal symptons you can come and sit in mine... . On the drive only mind... :P

If you need a hand on rebuilds give me a shout, only down the road in Farnborough and I am sure plenty of hands involved will make it easier to bare the pain of a rebuild. M

Gutted for you, but as others have rightly said main thing is you're ok. Still, could of been worse, it could of happened on the way back from Courtneys :)

Really sorry to see this has happen. but yourself and your mate are ok that the main thing! and after all the work you put into the car totally gutted for you :o thumbsdown good to hear your looking to the future with a positive note though thumbsup . yesterday (sunday) i went into work in the morning, following a Porky Boxter on the sylk road in macclesfield (duel carriageway) at 30mph, decided to overtake in my van!! noticed my steering kind of stopped steering for a second, but carried on anyway, the proker gave a little twitch from the rear, then promptly tank slapped (5 times!) up the road until she was facing the other way after going over the high kerbs sideways on a lay-by. so stopped to check she was ok and see if i could help, the car looked ok but she was a mess and all she was worried about was the bloody car!!! even the ambulance had a fish tail moment.rallly so don't blame yourself mate, how are you supposed to see the frigging ice when the rest of the road is/has been ok? just proves the lack of gritting out there rant . i hope the insurance claim goes without a hitch and quickly, to your liking wish you all the best and hope you can enjoy Crimbo regards Tim

Sh*t dude only just seen this :( . Glad it doesn't seem to be getting you down, chin up and all that. If you decide not to rebuild, JonnyVX's car looks like it would be a similar replacement; same colour, spec roughly as you were aiming for anyway, good condition. Could be worth considering if it works out better financially. Si

the VX can be a right little twunt at times. If anyone, you'll get the little bitch back on the road. If you need any fetch and carrying give me a shout.

Im glad Ive got the 107 to use now when its like this. Last winter up in the North East was awful in the VX, every morning before going to work and looking out of the window going "Oh fcuk!", as more snow had fallen/ low minus temps made it like an ice rink. It also made me glad that I only had 150bhp and zero torque  Seems you have the right outlook on life anyway! thumbsup

Good to see you aren't being dramatic about the whole thing. Hats off to you Sir. Now for the harsh reality. That VX will be written off and unless you can buy it direct from the insurance company, you won't be seeing it again. thumbsdown (sorry) I am speaking from experience.
