In this first episode, Jeremy attempts to build a car that's even smaller than the famous Peel P50. He then tests it out on the streets of London before putting his concept to the ultimate test of credibility in the fearsome Dragons' Den.

rather than it being a more Parkinson like interview.

If only it where as in depth as a Parky interview.

It's just another thinly veiled promote your latest book/film/album/haemorrhoid, like a dozen other BBC shows. If Damien Lewis (nearly all who's films/TV shows I've liked) is on there, you can be pretty sure he'll be popping up on Graham Norton, The One Show, Breakfast, R5 Live (plus the ITV alternatives) and wherever else his PR agent can get him on. I think in most cases the celebs actually enjoy it but it's just a useless waste of time for the viewer and what chat shows were specifically invented for.

So top gear is only 5 episodes and a 2 part special  how long have they been off air and they give us this meager offering.

I'd blame bbc cuts more than anything.....

I would be shouting about a lack of new Sherlock, but the main actor has been cocking about making a wanky film about midgets and myth sh*t.

I'm currently watching pirate captain or whatever its called and he's done the voiceover in that too. Sherlock is normally only three episodes which also sucks.

But Duncan no doubt the top gear bashers will still give it a hard time even if it is 5 episodes.
