i didnt realise there was many others in green? infact i havnt seen another kawasaki green vx yet?

got one pretty well today, though couldnt get the new engine bolted in due to not having the correct bolts for the clutch but i will get them tomorrow.
list of jobs done today:
gearbox, clutch and flywheel off
lightened flywheel fitted
astra wiring loom removed and vx loom fitted
zlet injectors and rail off and vxr ones fitted
alloy pully fitted
any other bits and bobs different were swapped over like alternator guard etc

rear clam came off and cracked on with getting the original vx engine out, this didnt take too long with great help from a friend from town, he also coming to help me with getting the new lump in and running either tomorrow or thursday chinky chinky

new upper engine mounts were fitted and i sanded down a couple of bits and painted them up black.

tomorrow i have a fair few little things to buy and order, i have got a few things on during the day too so will more than likely be a late start but i plan to remove from clam, get the front end up (on 4 stands) and sending the wheels off for a refurb, with front clam off i can get the charge cooler fitted etc and then front clam back on.

i cant be botherd shading any more untill its finished so if the paint looks pale then im sorry :grouphug:

thanks again for all the comments, glad your liking the car so far thumbsup

nah they are blue now, painting them black, will do the AP logo's green though i think didnt get in the garage untill after 6pm tonight :( however me and my mate dom got on very well, clutch and gearbox on the new engine, new engine in a mounted up, all wired up, new downpipe fitted and we got the engine fired up :D it didnt run too well as overfueling due to map we think so i will get the astra ecu on there tomorrow so should be better as thats mapped for just under 300bhp but without the vxr ecu and injectors, will take it for a map right after mot. got the one driveshaft in and a few other bits done too. tomorrow my goal is to get both shafts done, connect up the arms and fit all 4 gaz coilovers, get astra ecu on, chip in the key, transponder ring on. pending how that lot goes i may get front clam off and get started with fitting charge cooler system thumbsup

started around 10ish this morning, plan was to start around 8am but i decided on being abit lazy thumbsup anyway so far today i have got the shafts in and done, arms are connected up, front end on axel stands, front clamshell off, all 4 gaz coilovers fitted and set to what i think should be ok.....i will check other threads on setting the dampers later cleaned up the crash box as it was coverd in crap, sanded down the towing bar and painted that, put the last gearbox mount on and had abit of a much needed tidy up chinky chinky off to the gym now though but when i get back i'll get a few more bits on the car cleaned up that i may aswell do while clams are off, will rub down the brakes and get the paint on them, also want to make a start on fitting the charge cooler if i get all this done today i will be a happy chappy then tomorrow i should be able to build up the front end and wont be too far off building up the rear either, brother hopefully will be coming weekend to help me with the doors. i love working on these cars :grouphug:

Give us a shout when your thinking of shifting her on anyway buddy. I'm sure you would probably consider a straight swap for an N/A with 70k on the clock ;)
