Call Dan at SPS. AFAIK he deals exclusively with elises and vxs - people trailer their elises down from scotland to see him His rates are reasonable and he knows his way around these cars better than anyone I've dealt with.

Yes standard z20let turbo, only putting the z20leh on now for stage 4.

had 263bhp on the MMG stage 2 map and 275lbft

Posted Image

The MMG intercooler give an extra 5+ to 10+ bhp according to my own the computer, its not terrible accurate, but there was a definite increase in bhp with the new intercooler, could have been more.

Great results then while still on the standard let turbo. thumbsup

Currently my existing (original) clutch is holding up to the job (luckily). It is running more power and torque than it is specified to.

Good news that your standard clutch is managing ok. I thought an upgrade might be needed at that point but guess it could be luck of the draw if the oe holds out.

I hope so, i mean im happy with the car other than this problem and the paint. Love everything about how it drives and feels, never had or been in a car where you can feel everything and get so much feedback from it... not even my mates GTR

FFS. Just go and get the fcuking car checked out by somebody who knows how they're meant to work (not some backstreet laptop jockey who thinks he's a tuner because he can download a map). Dreaming about Stage 3 and Stage 4 conversions isn't going to sort whatever your existing problem is. Posted Image

Obviously im not going to go stage 3/4 yet, im going to get the car looked at. All im saying is if theres something wrong with the car and it needs fixed, theres gonna have to be a lot of difference to be the same as the VXR or beat it. Thats all, just everyones saying it should be quicker

If your VX is 50/60 BHP/Ton higher than the VXR which do you think will be faster ?
Hope you get it sorted soon so we can have your view then.

It literally sounds like it's going to be the smallest problem that takes 5 minutes to solve if you take it to someone who actually knows what an engine is.

It was mine he went out in (he has also been out in redvts's). Mine makes a different noise from the airbox as it has been modded (the difference can be heard in my youtube vid comparing standard to modded). Mine definitely had more oompf and it was a wet day (managed to get mine spinning the rear wheels in 2nd and a tad in 3rd). I can't imagine his VXR could beat the stage 2 VXT but then again I never experienced the astra so can't really comment on that...

Yeah there was defo a lot more torque and the pull in yours in third gear was instant and strong where as mine took a while to pick up
