It will be really interesting next summer how this project comes to a close and the other VXT which is retaining the LET lump but custom inlet / exhaust manifold / bigger turbo and standalone ;) - this project is more about dropping the CR*P stock management and have some nice smooth power and loose the on/off boost that anyone who drives a stg4 will know what I mean

Happy to provide plug and play kit for vxt in the future regardless of spec - also going to run a stock setup and play around with a few things

Going to be a busy year but all exciting stuff

I haven't driven a stage 4 vxt so don't know how much of a problem the on/off boost can be. Are all the different tuners maps at this stage a bit of a problem then due to ecu limitations?

What's your aim with this bhp/torque wise besides the improvements you mention to the smoothness?

Cheers.

The LET/H stuff is more of just playing as I have never done the custom turbo / inlet and like to learn / play myself, putting a decent manifold and turbo on speaks for itself as the oe manifold is not the greatest. Also with standalone I can map it myself (not limited to tuners and their charges) and use it for a test bed for anything I like really - prob start at 350-400bhp but may try a 600 spec to see if I can crack a 9 sec 1/4 mile which I would like. Even has traction control option which could be a laught setting up - also its not that expensive to build Expect the vag conversion to be a VERY VERY fast road car with its low lag and top end fizz - sure I will drag it to the pod for a 10sec run and get plenty of data. Building an engine is quite straightforward and I like the challenge of just doing something different, be that a different engine or the standalone work. Just like building stuff :D Once these are completed I have a clio 172 mk2 super 1600 clio coversion to get involved in (vag 4wd setup mated to a home built clio sport lump) 400bhp, 4wd, wide track conversion, full cage and use for wet track days / daily drive. I just wish I had more time spare, plan to get out on track a lot more next year so need to get the balance right DG

11 ye ars of rusty bolts that prefered to op for round or snap rather than just come out lol. New engine and box should be test fi tted next weekend and depending on how they look may get round to making top mounts
