I just phoned Adrian Flux about quote for SC VX, admittedly not modified to the hilt but still. They wanted £910 which was pretty good (25 year old, 10,000 mile) and that was through a company called 'Marker Study'?

I haven't tried them yet, but have you tried REIS?

Saw you fiddling with yours the other day when I drove past, you haven't SC'd it have you?!?

Fingers crossed that it doesn't come to that. Not after the work that's gone into it over the last 12+ months. thumbsup

it'll be ok, You were thinking of having it track only anyway so just trailer it for a while til the insurance comes down. It'll come round really fast, you'll be too busy doing TA to notice :)

0% credit card to spread payments? Appreciate that doesn't overcome the ridiculous premium but perhaps a small way forward.

Have you tried http://www.classiclineinsurance.co.uk/ on limited mileage policy my stage 4 with 2 claims and 3 points was £350. I am old though.

Otherwise, here's an idea. I'll insure it for you and you leave it in my garage and I'll use it as my daily runaabout - then you can pop over and use it when you need it.

I assume you're asking for low mileage and bumping up the excess to try and keep the costs down?
