make sure you ; put 2 named women on the policy insure it on the street/drive NOT in the garage but in reality would you insure a 23yr old with a modified racing vx..

A garage is more expensive as the amount of claims the insurance company gets is higher for garaged cars.. to you and me having the car is a garage is safer but to the insurance company its a pain as people are always claming on scratched bodywork from pulling in and out of the garage, repairing door damage when they get out and smash the door on the wall.. its daft i know the cheapest is on a private drive 2nd is the street. Just put your mum on the policy (doesnt matter where she lives) and put Lee's missis on..

Exactly this.

It's all down to risk... and if they drive it once, thats one less time that you'd be driving it, thus lowering the risk.

i tried everything to get it down to 3k so i will try this when they ring me back on monday... even said i got a quote for 2.5k and they knocked 20% off as it was 3600 originally... which is good but not good enough! i need a wheel dyno so i can lower the hp they never ask if its measured at the wheels or flywheel

Like me, she's never had any points and has 15+ years NCD. Think it's down to the more specialist nature of REIS's policy and her lack of experience in the car itself. Still, was cheaper than having to get the car trailered back from France if I'd picked up an instant ban. Maybe I'll let her do my Walshy day in March......
