plus I managed to break the kettle boiling 3.5L , well I didn't break it, but later that evening the switch packed up . a flashy designer name brand 5 month old rapid boil kettle that was noisy as hell, replaced by a quiet 5 pound job from Tesco.

annoyingly all the local supermarkets don't sell the grolsch swingtop bottles , so further brewing is on hold.

I purchased a crown capper a while back, its the lever type so no smashing of bottles  Or just stick it in the 1L PET bottles that the Mrs drank gallons of Tonic from :)

I have three different bottles, actual grolsh bottles, some 2 pint bottles from ikea and some 750ml grolsh style bottles..

the problem I have with capped is I am tight and dont like spending money

My Christmas present from the wife this year is going to be a home brew kit, all down to this thread thumbsup Be interesting to see how it turns out, hopefully better than the last batch I made, some thirty odd years ago.....

Set off some alchoshots ( around 4 litre's ) a few days ago. Need to add the flavouring tomorrow and going to go with apple. Last lot I made was meant to be mixed fruit but tasted exactly like an energy drink! Didnt last long other than the hang over the day after!
