Sorry to read of your situation, a bizarre set of circumstances! I too can't believe it's a write off, even with that damage it is probably still in better condition as a whole than my car. What are the other issues you have been having with the car? Seems an awesome buy

Sorry to hear another one has had a knock. Sounds like youre making the best of a bad situation though... Bobs old car was written off for a lot less than that. A 2 inch crack on the front clam and a graze on the rear = write off?!?!?

Other problem is its been on here now so will probably only sell for under 7. Not enough in these cars these days. Prices compared to the Elise are just crazy.

Exactly that, it's been fantastic fun driving it for so long but it was time to move on.

I think Vauxhall are doing themselves a great disservice, they should be helping ppl keep these on the road: it is great advertising for them.

I mean 1k+VAT for a new headlight...that mists up, ffs!

If you think a brand new Insignia headlight is about £60 from ebay..... Vauxhall are just doing the normal process to slowly kill the VX off with over priced silly parts costs, old with the old, in with the Adam..... :angry2:

I think that's on the nail. The pictures are terrible, a bit of polish and sunshine and it will look a million times better already.

And six months to source a cheapish headlight before needing one for the next mot. Bargain.
