Anyway I'm sure you feel crap enough about losing your car without us rubbing it in.

There were other factors...but I made the decision that was right for me; I appreciate you might disagree and there was a tidy profit to be made as you suggest.

There were two third parties involved but no admission of liability from either of them

I mentioned 2 months not 3 although I only quoted for 1 month hire! It happened before Christmas and I was told the clam was on back order. There was no way it was going to be repaired in under 4 weeks given the Xmas break.

I turned down the car hire, I thought the whole setup was obscene.

Hopefully Luca gets it and gives it the treatment it deserves, rather than being banded about getting various bodge repairs carried out so someone can turn a quick buck thumbsup

Agreed, which is why I have let ppl on here know.

It's up to you to claim op it's no worse that all these people who smash them up in the winter when they should in the garage. Going by the list of work to do if you wanted to return it to a mint car there's a lot of money to be spent. I suspect someones going to either lose money or do a lot of work for next to no money with that car.

Agreed. I think it's very easy to dismiss some of the problems as trivial but I've owned the car long enough to know:
  • it's never as easy, cheap or quick as you expect to fix;
  • the under tray hides a multitude of sins from the MOT;
  • once you take it for its first spin with the roof off in Spring there's no way you can force yourself to sell it even though you'd promised yourself all Winter that you would.... :lol:

Went for £5500 excluding fees extra. Seems like copart is where we should be selling our cars. Copart is full of overpriced cars with bids exceeding expectations!!

That is completely stark raving bonkers! It was worth 3.5k max in that state.
