Wonder what it is, sure it isn't something else but it's a coincidence it's happened at the same time as fitting the apexi?

Holy sh*t, it's affecting me already, must remove.

LOL, Tim emailed me, but it sounds perfectly normal to me, nothing to worry about. You can hear both the induction resistance and the bypass valve operating, both much more clearly than with the OEM tuned airbox which is specifically designed to mask those noises. I expect your passengers will hear it quite a lot more too, as its in the left ear presumably.

They are bad but i would say thats worst than mine and i have a dump valve. Mines only really bad under load at high rpm, not reving lightly whilst stationary.

The acoustics in the garage did not help, but still on a quick spin up the road I was surprised at how loud the whistle was compared to the vids I'd seen of them fitted. It's on borrowed time at the minute, I'll give it a couple of weeks.

I'm sure you could find someone on here to sell it to (for barely any loss) if it's not to your taste. Or alternatively, just wrap it in a suitable baked bean can or some-such with a few inches of silicone pipe leading to that. At least you won't get that jet fighter/turbine sound I get in Nipper that makes my passengers cringe.

I'm on the lookout for the Apexi setup if anyone wants rid.

There are! Quite easy to avoid, just make sure you buy from the seller mentioned a million times in apexi threads.
