Feel your pain Simon, Bridel insured me for £460 last year. This year its gone up to £560, when i questioned it they replied with that all insurances had gone up by 5-10%. . . . . . . . . . .

So my next question was. Can you just had 5 or 10% to last years price then instead of over 20%. W**kers. rant/>

They called me back a day later and said £560 was the best they could do.

That's codswallop as my insurance came done by a hundred notes this year.

My insurance has gone up for the last two years. LE4 post code has something to do with it.
Try insuring your car with my post code and post your findings Gooseenka. I would be interested to see if you have any difference in price between where you live and the sh*t hole i apparently live in.

Topical, mines up in 2 weeks time. Admiral multi-car, last year £600 & I've had a letter through the post tonight quoting £805! (Old git VXR & 320d M sport) It'll be an interesting phone call on Monday/Tuesday when I've calmed down a bit. In other news I've just renewed the Triumph Speed Triples insurance & that went up a fiver to £111

As Bob says, they'll reduce it by giving them a target price from competitors...either that or at least mod the bloody car some more to justify some cost ;)

Mod the car with CCI they will increase the premium ,they base it on the BHP

Only if you go over 330bhp ;)

Big price difference in a NA to a SC with 260BHP

I paid £700 last year for 5k miles with no no claims, via Adrian Flux. This year, moving the VX onto my wife's Aviva policy for the shed to make it a multi-car policy, the VX is costing £356 for 4k miles. Might be worth investigating for others?

Funnily enough I had my cci renewal through the post yesterday. TBH I'm fairly happy with the price 6K miles and I can drive to and from a single place of work for £540, need to ig out last years to see how it compares. What I was less impressed with was the £32 'admin' charge for renewing my policy! I've been with them for the last 2 years and nothing has changed in that time yet they feel they can charge for simply hitting a renew button.

I was also quoted £150 more on renewal with CCI. I pointed out that I was a year older and wiser but it had no effect. Adrian Flux gave me a quote of £480 for 4k mileage, supercharged with suspension and engine mods declared. This was much closer (but still higher) than last year's CCI premium. Incidentally adding commuting made no difference to the price - unfortunately I get the train to work.

So come on Si, have you started to play the game yet and get your premium down? Stu, I have been asked for proof of quote by Chris Knott. I have a feeling that Adrian Flux wanted something too, but not 100% sure.

Ahh well CK is a super speshul case  whereby you have to give the MD a happy ending before letting your postcode or age group be insured
