Thanks vocky is this right so far?

yes that is correct, the alternator cable should be connected, so that in your picture, the nut would be nearest the bulkhead

What about the purple wire that is now loose?

what purple wire ?

you might have an additional cable for the cc pump, this would connect to the large red cable on the starter motor bolt.

Get in there Stuwy, proper progress and great to have you straight back in the saddle. Wish I was there to help but it looks like you had Batman on your side. Good luck, I reckon this will be sc'd by the weekend.

cut it off along the straight section (going downwards in your picture), then connect the chopped off end onto the 68mm TB, then join the two pipes back together with some 8mm fuel hose.

Is this ok? Nothing is touching and I re-routed a few cables and wires so there is about a inch gap

Is that where your old fuel lines ran? I was very worried where I was going to run them I ended up running mine over the alternator

err, NO thumbsdown

that small single cable tie is all that's stopping your car from burning to a pulp

You need at least two heavy duty, good quality cable ties, preferably made by Tyrap (they have steel inserts to stop the cable tie from failing)

I hate those fuel lines being there (on the sc conversions), the other option is to chop the fuel lines and move them over to the gearbox side

I would at least put another cable tie around as a backup. As at the moment it looks like your 1 cable tie away from a fire ball. Can you not clip them to more than one point?
