Getting fuel? Fuel pump priming? Fuel pressure in the rail? Fuel cut off switch reset? Immobiliser? Earth's connected, especially the coil pack -> cylinder head one?

All checked and still not firing :( The yellow relay was clicking originally, but reseated it and it turned over. If that makes any difference?

Just googled 1614 and it's wrong transponder key... I guess immobiliser is right? It's got the ecu from the old Vx, but trying to start with the new ones keys... Will that be the problem?

Yep, that will be a problem. ECU, the immobiliser transponder on the steering column and the transponder chips in the keys need to match up. So Stuwy needed to keep the transponder collar and the chips from inside the keys to his old car to mate up properly. :(

Spark plugs out, put in the coil pack and earth them. Turn it over and see if they spark. If fuel pumps pumping to provide pressure. Then are the injectors injecting. Crank sensor so it knows to spark at the right time.

so do you have a matching "ecu / transponder / key chip" set fitted OR programmed them to be a matching set ?

if not, it is never going to start
