What's the fun of that? That we may not be able to understand it except on a pure mathematical level should not keep us from trying. As mentioned above, all too easy to give up and take the easy way out. On top of that, it might all turn out very different from what current theories describe. String Theory may yet prove to be a dead end. There are a lot of very valid objections to it. Logic objections, nothing to do with religion. It's the most promising theory available however.

Quantum Mechanics can be tested against our reality. And although the results are strange (= not what you would expect based on our perception of reality) again and again QM has proven to be predict correctly. So it's a theory with high predictable value. And that's exactly what you want from a theory. That's the difference with religion. Both are based on beliefs, but science has got high predictable value, religion none

Make sh*t up that we don't understand ourselves that is. As Richard Feynman once said: 'I think it's safe to say that no one understands Quantum Mechanics.' That from someone who received a Nobel prize for his work in that area. And after that it just got worse. Look at String Theory (or Super String Theory or M-Theory). It seems at the level of elementary particles things do not jibe with how we perceive reality. Which stands to reason, but doesn't make things

That lot will be tought to school kids in a few thousand years, basics

: 'I think it's safe to say that no one understands Quantum Mechanics.'

Actually it's fairly simple to understand.

You identify a particle, and then theorise that it's made of smaller particles, and then you theorise that these smaller particles are in turn made of smaller particles, which in turn are made of more even smaller particles, ad infinitum, in the understanding that these particles do not actually exist in the real world and that even the act of observation during particle physics experimentation mysteriously changes them in some way, leaving the observer unaware and unable to do anything other than theorise even more about what these particles might be if we didn't observe them.  Except of course they're not particles they're waves, well not actually waves but particles and waves.  When they're not a particle they're a wave and vice versa, and of course when they're particles they defy the known laws of physics by communicating with each other faster than the speed of light.  It's all very straight forward really.

I see now  I thought only God is faster than the speed of light until we build a real Warp drive star ship and go looking for him as he obviously hasn't been around our planet for a while. Probably off making other worlds far far away, well why not it's what he's good at.

Gordon, I thought according to Christian belief, he did show up. Not my stance, but still. Now you want him to pop round with a personal invite just got you. Try getting a one to one from CEO of Microsoft or Apple. That's hard enough...

Nothing to do with Paris (seriously misguided individuals, so nothing to discuss really...). Anyway, was looking at Hoon thread and wondered over... Gordon, you managed to arrange a call with one of those CEOs instead then ? :) I try to have a regular session with the All Mighty several times a day. You are welcome to try, though I'm told sincerity, humility and patience helps. Plenty out there that have tried and claim to have got answers... If you mean he should come and fix everything, I think the idea is for us to do that and seek his help.

Not much point in a born again Athiest having a try, wouldn't even get a signal. 😂😂 Plenty have tried and by coincedance got an answer ( fixed it for you ) 👍 You just need to pray your MXV05 can keep up on the hoon 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍
