I know you have gone to effort here and looks reasonable but looks nice without. No one borrows my car and people who are new to it I show them how to get in and tell them where to put and not put their weight..
It depends on usage i think.
I do quite some charity stuff with kids on track, and they get swapped a lot during such a day by clueless volunteers, while i am strapped in in the harness.
Anyways, for me they are a lifesaver.

The lesson from that thread is to not use kwik fit, as opposed to being scared of sill damage. It was threads like this that gave me the idea. http://www.vx220.org...l/?fromsearch=1 There are times where the car is bound to be out your care or uneducated people will be getting in. I do explain when people get in but this means I never run the risk if morons leaning/standing in them. Of course they're not to everyone's taste and even I think these may be a little larger than necessary. Might be getting a respray this winter so will give the 2" high ones a go when it's done.

you are relying on spanner monkey being able to read !!!
best thing to do .....
photograph the car and all the bits u think will get broke whilst at your garage
in front of the owner /technicians and tell them where not to stand etc
then you have proof of how the car was before it was left in their charge
also warn them about the dangers of removing the front wheels whilst on a 2 post lift
explain that if they remove a front wheel it should be placed on the bonnet to stop the car falling off the lift

That's what I was getting at. I have carbon fibre plates on the sills. These, apart from being carbon fibre, help spread the load of a misplaced hand or knee. Not a foolproof and load tested soloution, but saves any high pressure "point loading" on the sill. And also what if they sit on it..... No step states you can't put your foot on it, no mention of hands or asses. Sorry to be coming across as a sh*t, but if you hope for it to be some sort of legal or moral comeback then you have to label it better as a contract.
