You think we would just happen upon these motels as we drive or worth booking in advance? Never done anything like this before

We've done a couple of extended Euro  trips and we usually plan in advance. there are plenty of cheap hotels/motels on the out skirts of every Town and City but I just prefer to have it done before I go. A few hours on the computer with Google and you can plan a route and book. Most of the time booking is fully refundable too.

Go though Booking.com or Hotels.com and look at the chains Steve mentioned too. Formule 1 Hotels in France are my favourites for pikey stays!

You can find some interesting private accommodation on Booking.com and the like too. A few years ago we found a fabulous B and B in a village outside of Budapest for less than £20 for the night.

Alister Sawdays book/web site on B & B's in France...would not be without it. All of our stays from his recommendations have been excellent.

Really sad to say 99% certain I will have to pull out of this due to the uncertainty of a change of aircraft course date, before I inform Paul is there anyone who would like this slot. Need to tell him within about a week time

 GUTTED

I had to cancel this morning :( :( Company wont be more specific on my course date, in fact they wont even confirm with aircraft I will be on.

Couldn't leave it any longer as I don't want to loose more money.

Me and my co driver have been discussing the idea of a night in Monaco after one of the track days. Anyone else been thinking similar? We've also been thinking of decorating the vx in hideous gumball style graphics. I do lots of vinyl wrapping and recently got a 1.5m run of gloss orange which I only needed a tiny amount for a customer. Could get it looking right gash for the trip, but I don't want to be the only person at the school disco in trainers if you know what I mean...

I need to sort out the ferry crossing for this and finalise the route and hotels, most are booked but a couple of gaps and nothing for the return trip yet. I am wondering if day one is too much , so might have to split it to cut down mileage and add some contigency.

Hotel is included no? Or do you mean on way down / return?
