Well I already know I'm stuffed when it comes to straight lines as V6 heavier than my old vxr and has less power, but what I have been impressed with is how well it handles now with new wheels tyres and more aggressive Geo. ...I think that above all else will be what makes it fast but guess we can test that out at zandvoort.

As I feared lotus generally lie through their teeth when it comes to power claims, car has more like 320bhp as standard but now has more like it should of had at the start.....problem is I expect a 3.5 litre supercharged v6 to be pushing out an easy 500 bhp but until a solution is found for the fragile gearbox you can't go much more. But in a way it's funny how life turns around.....I used to have plenty of power and people's only hope of keeping up was through the corners now the shoe will be on the other foot lol

Funny isn't it Pete, now I have the Exige I really appreciate just how much quicker and nimbler the vx was. The Exige is a nice thing to have but not filling the track gap the vx filled so well. It is more like a GT vx.  Interesting to hear about the power, I'd heard that elsewhere.

The v6 is more convincing when you're spending £40k+
