I agree as a standard car its bloody impressive and am enjoying it, though now fully see why we overtook them so often.

Fully understand that, time owned exige.. time owned vx220.. the vx wasn't always supercharged & race spec suspension. Lotus compare their cars to other brands in standard Form, n.a. or tubby. Our ownership has started again.. spending 8k for a 460bhp v6 upgrade doesn't rock my boat any more.. manifold & full exhaust system does tho lol

VXR29 was good but this is better just not as fast in a straight line, at the moment lol. For me at this point in my life this is better in many respects but appreciate everybody is different. PS chill, Lee and Joe I can't do croft next Friday as my back box still not arrived so won't pass noise control....however be interested to see what you guys think of a silver 360cup that is going, owned by Dave from seriously lotus....he,s sorted suspension wheels and tyres but also just added the 1900 supercharger....feed back be welcome.

As above VXR #49 was lovely but after 12 years it really was time for a change, my soft top arrived last week & today we've been out & about with the roof off for the first time. & oh my the noise 😍

Would it be fair to say v6 straight line performance is on par with a stage 2 s/c vx or tubby? Or more in line with a stage 4?

Yup, they are very similar.

The vx is quicker off the line i think, but the v6 takes over from 60 onwards. No doubt if you work out how to make launch control work, it might be different. i've got no idea what combination of buttons is requires

I've got no regrets, but i didn't replace it.

Both cars out today :)

I'm yet to see another V6 on the road, just driven down to the Italian lakes & Venice, 2150 miles in my daily. We were right behind a blue vx(yellow roof) on the M3, saw a red speedster turbo before we got to Switzerland & on the way back passing through Luxembourg 2 S3 Elise's & an Evora 400. I might have to go to the .org national just to see another V6!

No regrets it was time for a change. Its not where I would like it to be but as Mbes says its the start of another adventure and once the warranty has run out will no doubt make some small improvements but, I don't plan going down the heavy modding route again.

I would say it matches a stage 2 vx and thats what I've seen on track so far but it does it with a better soundtrack (though I miss the sc squeal) and with air con (I properly love the air con).

It really is just like a bigger slightly more grown up vx and I like for that very reason.
