No, the radiator surround is not structural. However I would check the crash box too, as this may have been replaced.

Thought I´d give it a shot and mount the tubby ears. Bought them second hand but they come from 1000tuning.de . Don´t buy them. This is the gap that would have been.

Can probably source a pair from a friend here in Sweden so should be fine. If not, I´ll let you know :).

Agree, black really suits the VX220. I like the atmosphere in the picture.

I´m waiting for a new seat to arrive and would appreciate some input on the harness fitting. Looking at a Schroth six point harness and have checked this document for fitting. Can I order that fitting kit somewhere or do I have to source each part?

I have found a crotch strap bracket on Elise-spares but I´m still waiting for an answer on what is included (spreader plate, bolts etc).

So after some more digging and contacting DeRoure I have found all the parts necessary for the harness (here). All cheap parts except for the plate with the nut, 47£ what the hell...

Anyway the new seat has arrived

A Tillett B6F, FIA homologated so I can race the car in the feature. Hope it fits in the car  . A harness is ordered from Nicky Grist (thanks Mike for the help)

The new suspension parts, made a mistake and ordered without helper springs but after contacting Gaz they sent out the helpers without any hazzle.

Also fitted the diffuser I bought from Matteo21 and it looks great, top job Matteo!

Great Tonie.

I see your nice suspensions parts and realize I need helper  springs too, specially in the front

but it was 1year ago I bought my stuff and bit late to ask for helper springs now.

Another thing can you take a lot of Pictures for your harness installation and make a small installation guide maybe?!

How is it going with your  rear knuckles?

Mail Gaz and see what they can do, they are really helpful and great to deal with.

I'll try to take as much pictures as I can, going to steal Nillets solution right off :)

Hope it's ok if I borrow your picture Nillet.

No progress on the rear at the moment, there is no time for it at the moment :(.
This is how far I've come, playing around with the mount for the toe-link so a couple of different versions. 2-pot caliper and the intention make own spot calipers.

that will fit the vx220 steering column, but really depends which steering wheel you choose  :)

Would it not be better to 'fish mouth' the end of the tube and weld it into the roll hoop?  If you need the offset you could bend the ends in.  That solution doesn't feel right with my OCD!

You mean something like this?

May be difficult to weld all the way around though.

That's exactly what I was thinking thumbsup

For things like that I use TIG with a very short back cap.  You can get those torches in anywhere!
