to add more confusing I can be sure this isn't just happening at one rolling road as it would appear the ecu can pulling th timing out hence the power isnt correct.

Now based on how may people have had their cars mapped this clearly isnt happening often but can effect power on some cars but only on the dyno. Dont be thinking your car is making more power with a fuse out, its just sometimes on the dyno.

When I was at Courtney Sport they said well thats a good dyno run with no ignition you literally have none. I thought umm thats odd im sure my last map had some timimg as it made some 300ft/lbs which u wont get from no timing LOL

Anyway the power figure was down but CS didnt mention the ABS fuse

I went to rabbid and dyno, again the figure was lower than last time i was there and 20bhp down from CS reading some 3 days earlier. He said dont worry all dyno read different lets just start from here as a base figure.

Tweeked the map and gain no power, even though he mapped in plenty of timing plus boost still no more power. Shock his head and said huhh Ive seen this before not common but some astra z20let have an issue with the ABS on the rollers.

Where you ABS fuse? Remove it.

So we did, left the map alone and instantly pulled 40bhp or so more. He smiled and said told u!

I have dyno here before and made results without removing the fuse and was fine, but this time and at CS the fuse need to be pulled. No idea why

He did say its something to do with the dyno and on the road the power would still be there, its the car getting confused

Could these maps be from a car with some kind of stability control activated in them which dosent exist on vx, but ecu might need all 4 wheels sensors working ?? Rotating Just a thought don't no if I'm right

Just a thought here - could it be that the cars with this issue have the lotus 4 channel abs ecu ? They could possibly have some form of traction control built in too ? Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk

Some systems I have come across can nip the brakes on to prevent an open diff from slipping. Sometimes called electronic differential. Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk

No because my car doesnt have a 4 channel abs and had this issue on two different rollers

The whole sheet is on the first page... its a sh*t plot though

Ignore that first one its not correct, that was the very first one that was done its totally inaccurate.   I have the correct one that i'll post later.

Any chance of seeing the whole sheet with the graphs? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Reading through this and Ive just remembered about when i had my car mapped at Rnd, wasnt an abs issue but when they were doing a dyno pull they had to engage the clutch switch ever so lightly to make the rollers read correctly. Unsure why, just one of those things as it didnt actually make any more power. Just made it read correctly. So more likely a dyno software thing rather than mapping issue. And before anyone says anything, it was on my original VX map which we compared side by side to a normal astra map and looked at the differences. So its not a case of having the wrong map on the car.

That sounds strange???... Clutch switch engagement impacts DV behaviour I believe.

what this does prove is dyno are crap for figures and should just be used to map and tune mods.

If we didnt get number we wouldn't care LOL

All we need is a linear power curve and how it feels on the road is all the matters but silly numbers and pub talk

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this already but torque and HP will always cross at 5252 RPM. Its a mathematical fact.
So your dyno chart is very weird and wrong.

That chart was the first one he did, he rang the re map guy and he told him to take out fuse 22 after that it was a totally different chart and totally different readings I didn't grab the new chart unfortunately but may drop in and get it and post it on here.
Hi guys, I've just had the same problem on my stock VXT: 160hp with the fuse nr.22 on, 208hp without.
Thanks a lot, because without the forum, I've had a very big headache in finding the trouble. Cheers
