Maybe it mutated and got going?
Now discounted as false positive caused by other similar viruses.

Well, we've managed 17 hours as a Tier 3 area. Tier 4 tomorrow morning. Joy.

Do we have a name for Tier 4 yet?
I thought 'very' high was a bit meh for T3- Perhaps T4 = Ultimate high perhaps?
Or - You are fcuked high? or maybe Salvation
In other related news my dad got taken to hospital on Wednesday with a heart problem, made somewhat worse by someone in his ward (of 4) testing cv pos
24hrs in isolation and dad is home with my 86 year old mum
I'm nonplussed tbh

Yep lurking on the perimeter. Not a F/B person so my only source of contact with the VX community at the moment.

Good to see you're still around

I think its about time I say "I told you so". All the little hitlers saying we should lock down harder, longer, sooner in the summer have caused the current mess.
Let's not use the hospitals while the are quiet and not in peak virus season, lets delay it until the winter
Mid April after the first peak we should have relaxed, keep infections high but not overwhelm the hospitals. Well done for saving them all until now though. Great plan.

I think even had that been allowed to happen, the hospitals would have still reported being overwhelmed full now. They always do/are.
I've resigned myself to not really having a view on the handling being good or bad to be honest. The general public will skew things to whatever view they want to supported by some numerical evidence to support that view.
As much as I hate the saying, it is what it is.
I'm locked down, not leaving the house apart from the occasional trip to pick up shopping and take the gremlin to nursery. I'm lucky enough to be able to work from home and enjoy being there. Quite happy to continue doing that until told otherwise. I don't need to go to the pub/cinema/social events and am happy to wait to be told I can. I probably still won't go that much. Equally I have not exploited any grants/funds/bailouts/support as I don't need to. I have tried to do everything to support local business and avoid using the larger ones for now to in order to keep them.

Immunity seems to be quite short lived once you've had it. I can imagine there would be a point of equilibrium in the hospitals once we reach a level of repeat infection. Not a scenario I'd want to explore myself although I do appreciate this topic has some difference of opinion. Roll on the vaccination for me and lets put this whole horrible thing behind us.

I see Sadiq is calling for a tougher lockdown in Londinium. Quite funny when he's spent the last 6 months whining on that London should be in Tier 2 and that pubs and restaurants should be allowed to open for longer all whilst the case numbers seem to be decreasing. Also calling for a faster rollout of vaccinations for London. Yup, feel free to take my place in the queue Sadiq as I'd be really happy for it to go to someone in London and I'll just wait a few months longer, out here in the provinces.

I’d love to hear Ian Blackford when he finds out that Sadiq is calling for faster roll out of vaccines for London 🤔
Normally I try to dodge the sewerage that comes out of Blackford’s very large facial orifice but this time.......................................

How do you know that?
They looked at 1000 NHS staff that tested positive in the first wave. Not a single one has tested positive again.
1000 staff that didn't test positive in the first wave were tested and 3% had caught it.
Thats about as up to date as you can get.
