Oh yeah and I hit a big bird on the way home, one of those kind you see blokes in wax jackets carrying in the countryside, grouse or pheasant or something like that? No damage luckily, well not to the car anyway ;)

Do they up the rev limit as standard? Anyone know what that does to the 0-60 time of the car?

I don't think the rev limit is increased?! Are you sure it's not just the fact that it pulls harder to 6.5k rpm now that makes it feel that way?

nice Jim - this means your ITG is worth ~6bhp (realistic ?) as mine was 160 point something with perf exhaust (no precat and sports cat).... and I don't have any induction kit - just std filter box etc...

Anarchy - what mods do you have to yours - must have something to start at 152 bhp ? and get to 160 ?

cheers
Mick

Mick - yeah, it looks like around 6-7bhp and 3lb ft after the remap, which sounds pretty good to me :)

Jim that looks really good mate. They do increase the rev limiter, as i was speaking to them earlier. Im having mine pushed to 7000rpm but only as im having piper cams. The power tails of before the rev limiter on the standard cams. Will hopefully get mine done in the middle of may once all the rest of the engine is complete! :D

I'll have to check it out, to see whether mine has been raised or not....not that there's any point on standard cams, as you say

Pretty much standard my car, only removed the precat and fitted a home made airbox intake pipe which has a slightly larger bore size. I think they managed to squeeze 162 bhp on one of the runs but not on the last one :( The rev limit is definately increased and I know there is no real power benefit, you can feel all the power dissapear but it just not as sudden as a rev limit and I prefer it like that.

Wow, that was a long day, looks like the rest of you got the good weather and I got the monsoon!!! I wrote a great big long piece on the day then my pc crashed  So shortened version: Initial run with standard LY 149 bhp and 158 lb ft Fitted full Miltek and re-map 162 bhp and 162 lb ft I'm a happy bunny :D Can't describe what the gains feel like on the road because the weather was too sh*t to play but it sounds good. Thanks to the guys at Courtenays, very impressed, especially with the mechanic who took my car apart twice in one day but smiled throughout :P Jon, the lambda sensor seems to be working fine, cheque will be in the post :)

I can confirm that my rev limit has definitely been moved. Where to, I'm not quite sure ;) I got up to around 6800 rpm before changing up, so I guess it's probably 7k?

Has anyone got one of those G meter things so the 0-60 time could be tested? I imagine it puts it in the 4.x second range?

Doubt you get into 4.xx Could get to about 58mph before remap, now get to about 62 but all power drops off. Only going by the speedo though.

Surely a gear change adds at least half a second to the time?
