I was amazed when I saw the P&P cost!

James - how long was your journey? All things are of course relative, but I'm surprised you don't notice a difference, but then if your journey was like 15 minutes - I wouldn't expect you to. There is a huge difference for me in temperature (not sure about flow), but it does come into its own on longer journeys.

I think thats teh ting, it is about 20 mins/10 miles

Can't imagine it'll shift more air than the standard heater fan. Did you not run the fan on full with all of the pipework disconnected? You can clearly feel the airflow six feet above the outlet from the heater casing. Maybe you're losing the flow under the dash somewhere?

There is not head loss in heater and duct (duct is removed), so flow is similar with OEM blower.
To be clear, it is not really heating system, its windscreen demist system, with only one speed.
My OEM heater was not very effecient, because I have installed on my car cool running calorsat.

As i do not run my VXT during cold seasons, I don't really need heater.
My car had also additionnal adrenaline heater associated with right pedal ...

Surely the only way to increase air flow is to get a more powerful 'blower'. I'm gonna try wrapping some thin insulation round the standard pipe and securing it with duct tape. I've had the 'foot end' of a stocking on the pipe since I bought the car, and it works perfectly well as a filter. Total cost - less than a fiver. It won't look as professional as this new bit of kit, but if it does the job I'll be happy and toasty and 95 quid better off. :P

you lot imo are frigging mad, do u really think thats going to give u any more heat that a well insulated standard pipe? no... i have masked a normal pipe with gutter tape and it doesnt loose any more air than that 100 pound rubber pipe... seriously i can give u guys better ways to spend your money.

I agree,£98 is a lot of money, but to be fair mate I really feel people need to make up thier own mind as to wether it's worth it? I know when I first instigated the idea/design, the guys told me a retail of about £60-70 which didn't seem too bad. However I agree with P&P it may seem to some to be a bit prohibitive. However in defence of the product chinky chinky , I think it has a quality feel, and looks like it should always have been there. As an Engineer I was shocked at the "Heath Robinson" half arsed bit of tube that was stuffed in the general vicinity of the heater. (I think the Lotus assemblers did it on purpose 'cos it had a VX badge- )
In short I wanted to improve the heater and incorporate a filter with a well engineered professional looking product, and not make do.(if that makes sense). However I agree the price and item is not for everyone. I'd buy it (but I would say that wouldn't I :groupjump: ). My wife calls me "anal" when it comes to my cars-"Everthing's got to be so perfect!!" I really don't know what she means!!!!! thumbsup

It is a well made bit of kit, and the heater definitely blows stronger, but I've never had so much crap come in my car. Am now having to put the pop sock back on to make it work properly and of course, thats reducing the improved blower effect. Martin s

I have the heater mod fitted, but for reasons which I won't go into, need to swap kits. Is there anyone who can help me do this please? I can do the work, but just need someone to give me step-by-step instructions. I'm in Bristol, but don't mind travelling to you if it's easier. Thank you chinky chinky

Nice... I was thinking to do the same....

One small question though... How did you change the motor exit pipes for the heater ? (shortcut or pipe closure)
