Oh and as mentioned 3" full system on a stg 1+ or 2 seem to make less power than 2.5
DG
thats opposite to what we found at Courtenays. tbh I can't see how a tuner can make claims about bhp figures without a dyno.

Latest revised 2bluar out now (few small changes made for even better fit to stop undertray fouling and has a shorter 90deg bend etc) - got 2 turning up next week and had no problems myself with the quality - tillet looks like a nice but if kit also but time frames for me favour Jims ones
DG
I thought i'd read on here that he'd stopped making vx stuff.
Are they 3 inch I take it? Any pics/price of the system?
Also are you selling them or do I buy direct?
I'd only want to fit 1 system at the price they usually go for but won't be big power anytime soon if ever but be good to future proof just in case go further.
Sorry all the questions but if you don't ask...
Cheers guys

Do you know when Liam is back ? I was going to give him a call to talk about a remap.

Good results you've got there by look of it. Bet your pleased.
Is this just with primary de-cat replacement pipe, airbox mods & remap?
Yes, very worthwhile mod, pulls much harder through 3rd and 4th now.
Advertised as Stage1+ on the MMG website :
MMG stage1+ remap
Pre cat removal pipe
A set cool running plugs
Air box modification
I did have the engine mounts replaced at the same time tho' as the current set were shot.
I am looking forward to seeing what figures Liam can get with the stage1+ and the uprated intercooler he is working on.
This could be a way to reach stage 2 performance but with a mostly standard exhaust and for 60% of the cost.

Sounds pretty good at that price as well.
Is the precat removal pipe a stainless item he fits?
That other option you mention he's working on sounds interesting. Any more info on that?
Yes he fits his own bespoke stainless precat replacement pipe.
The 'track' map for the stage1+ is deliberately conservative to prevent intake temperatures getting too high and causing the ecu to retard the ignition and reduce boost. The 'road' map is less restrictive (more boost) as you don't tend to give the car a hammering for extended periods on the road.
The new uprated intercooler he's developing should lower the intake temperature enough to allow you to run the road map on track reliably, or maybe even beyond that ? Its a new core, based on the core design from a well known 'prestige' car manufacturer.
There are no figures yet as last time I was at the workshop (a month ago) he showed me the finished part but it still had not yet been tested on a donor car.
