What the hell was that knocking?

It's a Kodak Zi8 (about £70 now). Much the same type of thing as Dave is using. Again does 1080p but the 720p/60 setting generally looks better for track stuff and gives a slightly wider field of view. It's also has an external mic fitted for less wind noise although that obviously wouldn't be a problem in your car. Key thing is to mount the camera firmly and not to turn on image stabilisation as it just makes everything look a bit artificial (and makes me feel slightly seasick watching it). Nope, didn't really get to the bottom of it. I think the favoured cause is that it's the pads knocking when they (or probably the calipers) get properly hot. Didn't hear a thing out of them on the way home.

Pads knocking, we think. It's even worse on most of the other videos. Happened every time I went out after two or three laps. A little bit disconcerting, it has to be said. Especially when the engine made similar noises at Silverstone when I killed it.

Just rendering all of the other footage into something more YouTube friendly now......

Dave lad, awesome driving, well impressed by the vids!!!! You were humping Mike at the start, you MUST have driven there before!!! You seemed to have a much better idea of what was ahead and was proper giving it some!! Don't see you on the National list, why not chuck your name on the reserves...?

Thanks guys, Guy182 I'll send them as soon as possible, I am getting a lot of attention due to a set of photographs I took on the weekend at Cadwell Park (HSCC) so things are a bit crazy. Also as Tim said, 55-250mm for most shots although I did use my 50mm f/1.8 and 18-55 kit lens for a couple of them.

Your right, it was my second ever track day about three years ago and is where I first met Max and I can still remember the advise he gave me Oh and the video is flattering, I didn't realise at the time but Cliffie was still trying to back us up for the unofficial photoshoot, oops

Unfortunately I can't make the weekend of the national, looks like it'll be a real blast.

After about 5 hours it's finally uploaded. The edit in the middle was for the 20 or so seconds I was behind the mr2 and was needed to keep it under 15 mins.
