not much room to work i can tell you that much!

exhaust and turbo back on

Posted Image

playing with carbon

Posted Image

mounted a section above the wheel as i want a couple of buttons on the wheel for launch control and overboost setting on the EBC allowing a higher boost level for a certain amount of time meaning i can potter around with 250bhp but if i want 350 just press that
Posted Image

made a surround for the column too as its smaller looks neater

Posted Image

also i fitted a clutch switch along with the brake switch so i can use the full throttle gearchange function in the omex

and that is where i am at as of about 3 days ago! battery is naffed so need to order a new one, also just removed the shocks as i want to find out what spring rates i have as it was too hard for the road might change the shocks for some protech units and fit a front ARB ideally so i can keep road comfort with softer springs and reduce roll with the ARB plan to get it insured this month or next and put 100 miles or so on it before taking it for the mappig finishing so i can iron out any issues will keep it updated as i go along thanks al

not alot been going on as its been very cold in the garage as you can imagine!

done afew little jobs

new buttons fitted that control the dash display

Posted Image

then been working on my wheel setup and buttons,

alot of work gone into a small area! happy with it so far though!

the two buttons control the lauch control on the engine, and the scramble boost setting for the EBC giving me a push to overtake like setup

fitted buttons and shaped the carbon
Posted Image
Posted Image

rear,

Posted Image
Posted Image

one of the buttons is to earth, i have had to take the anodising off the face of the q/r hub so this continues into the column as can be seen in the above pictures, the next issue was getting it to the column
i have done this by using a key ring to replace the o ring that is normally fitted see below pic of shaft, it compresses against the spring

Posted Image

and fitted

Posted Image

Posted Image

will do the other side of that wiring which is a headphone jack socket that will plug into the dash so can be removed quickly

also got a small plate as a big plate is rubbish!

Fantastic project Alastair!!! It must be one of the quickest cars in our area. I bet the LY feels like a 1.0L corsa in comparison lol!!!!

thanks,

and yes it does feel slow but in reality the vx is nearly fast enough for road use i would say maybe another 50bhp and a diff and it would be perfect over that it just gets silly.

saying that thats only compared to it in n/a mode where it had 175bhp now has over 300 if i want it to and i havnt driven it yet

Short vid of the engine testing and dash working along with first use of the launch control setting on the ecu, that needs some work as if you apply more throttle to generate boost pressure it over revs its 3k temp setting
