I believe you just need to be able to disable misfire detection for RLTC to work.

Most OEM TC systems (even supposely advanced versions) are inferior to the Racelogic system from what I've read, and as you say have no in-car adjustment whihc allows partial tailoring of the system to suit conditions, driving style, modifications etc.

No,

There is a chance if you have to may Hard cuts then it might kick but I would be very surprised if it did. I have never had my misfire detection kick in when using my RLTC even when I've been playing with it on track.

My only concern with this is the difficulty of fitting. Make sure u get the filters too otherwise it's a bit naff at slower speeds apparently

Perhaps its not as sensitive, and / or doesn't result in limp mode, just an EML. Some ECU's are quite fickle with this. I was thinking more of the OBD-T firmware, where I think its an option to disable anyway...

Thanks for the replies chaps. From conversations with Peter, it doesnt look like there is this functionality on the cards, there are some other cool things on the way :ninja: , although he has asked that I do not make these public knowledge until he has got them working.   The RL system is very good at what it does, and lots of manufacturers use the system in addition to the ECU- if you look on ebay you will find units taken out of other cars.   For my use, basically it is a safety device. My car on the Harrop is brutal, just brutal. Lovel to drive and silky smooth in the power delivery, but changing gear enthusiastically into fourth will light up the back end...

Based on this as I too am harroping - I would be in as well.
Will you be going for the Dutch software?   Let me know if you want any help with mapping or such :) -While the car is beign taken apart, dont forget to put in the wideband sensor.
Made no decisions on this yet, need to have a read through all the topics on here. I recall a standalone with cable throttle thread somewhere that I wanted to go back and have a look at too.   Many thanks for the offer, if I do go Dutch you may be sorry you offered....!
feel free to give us a shout if you are interested in full standalone. Few more options now and I am almost able to free some time up after project car focus traction control an option and will be going on a powerfull vxt in the coming month along with the usual list of great features DG

We are looking at 950 Including the signal filters, launch control and the digital adjuster mentioned here and that includes VAT and shipping.

So 950 + 750 for the software, you are looking a the same range as stand alone for the basic stand alone ecu.

The more that are "in" the bigger the discount we can get.

Might be in price and time dependant. I'd rather not have the launch control though if they don't all need to be the same?

I'm in, good timing! I'm being a bit thick here as I don't understand the proposed pricing. What is the £750 software component? I'm interested in the RLTC6DIA Traction control for up to 6 cylinders with launch control and digital adjuster. =£695 Ex VAT or £834 with VAT. I hear you can get the signal filter from motoconcept.de for about 50 euros. I think they can also supply the rltc. The last group buy with RL in Jan the discount was: 10% off = £625.50 Ex VAT The £950 sounds a bit steep, where did you get that price from? GDK Sports cars are selling the kit for £799, which I think includes VAT but not the filter. P.S. big thumbs up to you for kicking this off as there looks like a bit of interest.

Correct, the £750 was the OBD software.

Hmmm, the price of £950 I got was from motoconcept, but this did include the digital adjuster* and the filters, delivered and with launch control

*the one with the digital screen you can change by the 1% the amount of slip. I mainly want this as it looks nicer.

On the group buy thread earlier in the year there was a guy called tuneconcept.de who was offering them based on the £695 + vat at...

I can offer:

5-9    -15%

10+    -20%

+ the absolutely needed noise filter!!
http://www.vx220.org...trol/?p=1542792

You are just like me, I want the digital screen one for several reasons; the adjustability of the TC in 1%s, the menu options plus the looks. The manual adjuster looks like something out of a 1980s Japanese car! :D

So basically Vat free is we get over 10? So £695 Plus filter box (is this £100 or 50euro? Seen both quoted and is this with or without tax?) Would there be delivery on top? Might kick the thread into life a bit if we can work out the total cost all in for people.

That's great,
Going through the thread there are 10 people who have expressed interest:
Davemate
cocopops
Darwinism
the Batman
Steelic
Westkenbrit
Zagg
Chris p duck
Dw1
Joss

It's unlikely that all 10 will remain in but we could be looking at 5+?

It looks like most people are interested in RLTC6DIA Traction control for up to 6 cylinders with launch control and digital adjuster. Which normally retails from Racelogic at £695 + VAT.

@ tuneconcept.de - can you do the same offer as before when you offered 15% off for 5-9 and 20% off 10+. That would be great and I think would get a lot of interest with that offer. If you can confirm that, we can collect people's options of model and go from there.

Is the full throttle shift available as an add on?

I have the digi adjuster and launch control (which I've never actually used...), but I don't think FTS wasn't available when I got mine

To futher my own question, I've just found this:

Q: Can I add full throttle shift later if I want?

Yes, like the launch control option, it can be added later, but unfortunately you will have to send the unit back to Racelogic (in England) to have it added.

but RL's website says this:

Full throttle shift is a firmware upgrade available either at time of purchase or subsequent to fitting.

Which suggests it can be done yourself.
