It's the water meth injection that is helping push past the intake manifold Not cams

Motor still does 430-440bhp with no meth

Dare I stick my neck out and say that it is the cams which are restricting the 2.2 Harrop cars, not the inlet manifold :ninja:

......... waits to be shot down  :P

Neil, Why have you come to that conclusion?

I don't think there is anything special about the inlet manifold on this engine and it has 500+ horses, thus it is not restricting the power or is it

Well, the laminova cores are 60% "open" (0.3mm gap between 0.2mm cooler fins), so it should flow some air through there. Cooling capacity however is limited, so therefore water injection to the resque.

(But I'm pretty stoked that it can support 500HP.)

Isn't that sort of in line with the 2.2's and 2.7 pully doing around 400?

Took the car for a good pasting tonight after adjusting all the meth system, several power runs completed resulting in 520pk but less tourque. This is still with the wheel arch liner in place which I am suspecting has caused poor airflow around the filter.

Charge temps down to 24deg after a couple of pulls! I've not adjusted the fuel map yet to suit the additional meth so its running quite Rich up the top(high 10's!!!) So possibly more to come. I have definitely come to the conclusion though that if i'm wanting it to be 500+bhp every time I stamp on the loud pedal its going to require better base cooling(One of inlet manifold) or more constant meth. You seem to get more and more power with every run you do back to back due to the meth cooling everything more and more!

Anyway another few miles at 500+bhp and shes still in one piece lol. It does put a smile on my face when driving it lol. It's going to be some time yet before i can really really concentrate on the map and call it 'Final'.

Is that small rear wing a normal turbo one ? It looks a bit different. Maybe I'm fooled by the angle the picture was taken in?

Got the first vent fitted tonight, wasn't keen on bonding it on so I came up with another method which seems solid but removable!
