If it was an inner track rod, can they be replaced?

 

Will check other things but from above all seems ok, guess its front undertray off time, to see what visible and checkable, but the noise is just like in that video.

they can but i think they are £180 a pair.

I'm sure its not the steering rack, its coming from the left hand side front, you don't need to even touch the steering to hear it you just go at a very low speed?

 

I've lived with clonks on the vx for years but it doesn't sound to great now.

any hids fitted, ballast secured?

Checked ballasts, its in the middle (maybe left hand side of the rack) and the fact it carries on slightly after you've rocked the car does make me think (hope) its something swinging somehow and perhaps knocking on the rack.

Anyone got ant layout drawings or photos without rads in the way etc so I can try to figure out what it might be there (assuming its not the rack).

Lee has been down here this weekend ( the guy is a star and genius who does not give up) and after sorting my car, which took 8 hours and turned out to be a failed crank sensor (not helped by the fact we reckon it was second hand when installed), he then had a look at Laurens car.

The good news is that it isn't steering rack or any suspension parts, or anti roll bar, the bad news is we still don't know what it is.
