coupler ordered and oil service kit but does anyone have one I could use as not sure how long it will take to come from the USA and have Donington soon.

Is anything else needed or worth doing while were doing that stuff?

I wil still have a look tomorrow (couldn't today) but am sure that's whats wrong.

Thanks all as ever for great help.

When I got my supercharger I thought the coupler needed changing, but instead there were carbon deposits built up on the rotors, you could feel something rubbing when you turned the pulley by hand. I cleaned the deposits off with white spirit.

Worth doing that if they're dirty too.

You'll also need to find an imperial hex key to undo the oil filler hole and some RTV sealant to reseal the casing when you put it back together.

Has anyone got a coupler sitting around which I could replace when mine gets here. Bit concerned it may take too long as coming from the states. Martin S

JohnTurbo, no longer has a Turbo but has an SC.

His signature indicates that, but he's not asked for a username change....

For anyone else who ever gets this, It turns out the coupler was fine. Weirdly the SC had only a quarter of the oil it should have had inside with no obvious leak but all looked fine inside.

Car wouldnt rattle when being looked at by Lee but did it the minute I left and luckily he heard it at Donnington, and its coming from within the electrical sealed unit of the throttle body. Cars running fine but will replace soon.
