So, should we have a neat little sticker for the sills, rear clam or wherever, which says 'Lotus Type 116' perhaps with the yellow Lotus CABC badge?

I think I might stick some land rover or JCB badges on my vx220 to really throw people off

If cool is a raw, connected driving experience for peanuts and a permanent grin whenever you are in the seat, then yes it is cool
If cool is a 20 year old panel van with windows cut out and a flower selotaped to the dashboard, or a Lupo with 245's and -45 degree camber and a rusty bonnet, then no, it really isn't cool!
From my perspective, the only motivation for buying a VX is the driving pleasure... with the added bonus of a great community.

Looking as some of these supercharged beasts tramping GT3s on youtube, I prefer a vauxhall to a lotus haha

Bull crap. Sent from my D5803 using TapatalkLets be honest, a lot of us bought one because it was a lot cheaper than the equivalent eliseUltimately I think a lot of members on here have the money to buy whatever they want within reason and choose a vx on merit. Personally I don't give a crap what badge is on it or what others think of it, as it drives great.

My wife wont drive mine as she gets fed up with so many people looking at her and from my point of view its definitely 'cool' whern a small Vauxhall goes past stuff worth many more than its value which, if you ever go and watch vxers on track you will witness time and time again.
Whether the car itself is cool I cant say but most of the people I've met who own them are, in their own special ways and one of the best reasons to buy one.

I think they're cool largely because they are so rare that no-one knows what they are. Hence people will tend to show a lot of interest in them. The coolness disappears when you say "it's a Vauxhall... technically it's a Lotus though"

some kids were there with their parents, they walked past a row of Porsches and the like to quietly sit on the floor next to my car and draw it in their colouring books!!!
They only had a ruler so it was the easiest one to draw

If only i had the extra cash...If I can sell my transporter for enough I will get a supercharged vx and save me somw hassle. The most uncool thing I have ever heard.... "It's a Proton, but has styling and handling from Lotus" I agree that vxs are awesome 'Unknown' cars though. If you drove one in America or somewhere where Vauxhall don't have the dreadful 'rep sales taxi' image, I imagine that they would be very very cool.come for a drive in mine, you will drive it homeLooking as some of these supercharged beasts tramping GT3s on youtube, I prefer a vauxhall to a lotus haha

A petrolhead buying a car because it's cool..... right
A petrolhead buys a car because of the drive ..
.. and looking cool in a VX is a bonus.

only allowed them in the US for 6 months before it has to leave the road. you can import anything to Canada if its over 15 years old.. I am in no hurry to sell, its a good car and I don't really want to sell itIf only i had the extra cash...If I can sell my transporter for enough I will get a supercharged vx and save me somw hassle.
