the width of sump won't allow the engine to sit between the arm mounting points

would need to either widen the mounts giving wider rear track but still keeping the same wheelbase if using the new style gearbox with front mounted diff

or extend the wheelbase further would need at least 220mm to get past the right side of the sump

That's the money shot! It really quite a good fit, when you account for modifying the sump or suspension mounts, and the subframe..

most definitely Rossco

I'm sure id even be able to keep the same wheelbase if I make a shorter lower arm  for those who would follow

would be nice to see an Exige v6 empty engine bay to see the comparison in arm mounts and the difference it would have around the sump

If I get a chance I’ll pull the engine on mine and take some pics and measurements for you, if you want? I need to remake my engine mounts on the sides so will need to pull the engine anyway, as the mounts I’ve got in currently I don’t think are man enough.

I’ll try and get in the garage today/ this weekend for you to pull the engine and get some measurements. What are you after? Same as you’ve taken above? From cups, it’s not the mounts that I made (copies of yours :P) that I’m worried about it’s the original VX and some crappy one I got off eBay that I don’t think will be man enough so I’m rethinking my design. I got some transit rear leaf spring bushes off eBay that are a decent girth that I think will be more suiting.

the position of the bottom wishbone pickup point does not matter as the gearbox will be so much further to the back , you will have to start again with everything.

yes correct but it may be better to use the v6 arms with a new subframe
