Is that Fully Comp? Garaged or driveway? and I did try Bennetts. I'm 29, had licence for 8 years, in south east, but with a 2003 model on the drive. D'ya reckon that would still make the difference? edited to say: (perhaps should have pm'd to avoid taking over this thread! sorry SamH!)

TPFT, driveway parking. I think it would be slightly cheaper for an older bike.

Although the 2003 bike is the better bike mine only cost me £2,350 (right time right place) for a minter with 12k on the clock.

Well I've been out for a good long ride on the speed triple. Superb engine, has bucket loads of torque which make it a real breeze to ride. On over run it sounds a bit like a VSE. B) But that bloody seat busted my balls, above 80 it gets a bit hairy (not my balls) and light at the front, I suppose that is to be expected of a non faired bike. Anyway although it's a great bike, it definately isn't for me. Oh and someone could of warned me that the top speed is recorded, and after a buttons were pressed by the dealer he could check it. I'm back to looking at sports bikes again. A couple of quotes arrived through the post today (Bennets). One for a CBR600RR and one for an R6, both new. The Yamaha was over double the Honda quote, WTF. The search continues.

So if it had a fairing you might prefer it?

The Yamaha was over double the Honda quote, WTF.

I know :(

Most companys wont even insure a R6 unless you have atleast 2/3 years NCB on a similar spec machine.

I was paying about £750 fully comp at 25yrs old with a company in london called Thames bank insurance ..... and thats with 4yrs no claims!

My R6 is a s good as sold :) thumbsup So Its all down to the GSXR or the Honda with me at the moment.

The 05 Gixer 600 i borrowed was bloody fantastic mate Imnotworthy
Very very comfy for a sports six, and even felt good with her on the back thumbsup

BUT ive had a insurance qoute for the Gsxr 750 too and its about the same as the 6! ! so im kinda torn between the two :(

I havnt had a qoute for the Blade YET...but my trousers are down around my ankle's ready for the ''buggering'' :P

Know someone who's got an 05 600RR,spent the winter planning what to do to it,Repsol paint, exhaust etc. (Including talking me into the full Akrapovic for mine  ). Got the thing late March, after a series of Ducatis & Triumphs,& has had so much fun on it,including a trip to the TT,it's still absolutely standard. He thinks it's fantastic & I can't always keep up :( Repsol B) & the rest of this years colours,do look somewhat better than the selection that I had last year.

Shell suit does seem to spring to mind with Hondas colour choices. :D

The only thing that's holding me back from a RR (or any super sports) is comfort. I like to put a few hundred miles on in a day (weekends). Don't want to be in agony after 50 or so.

Decisions decisions.

Had no problems with mine, actually find it quite a bit more comfy than my old 2001 GSXR1000.
