Could you not try mounting the cable to the pedal further down, towards the end of the pedal? Or is it no where near having enough range?

If that is a 70mm TB then that cable segment seems rather big radius. Cant you fit a smaller segment? (modify from some carb or other TB..)

I wouldn't be able to fit my big feet on it as is!

That did occur to me when I got in the car after typing that.. Now are you ready for some MS paint skillz? The idea is to mount it to a bit extending from the pedal out to the right, and then mount that roller type thing somewhere so that the cable gets pulled for the full swing of the pedal at its longest arc.

 I was so tempted to not even upload that because its so bad!

gonna do this one I think, but no need for a roller. I'll just extend the top mount a bit further down and have another plate attached to the back of the pedal sloping backwards so my feet don't see it

cheers

Just read this thread. Had some plans on a MS as well.. But people i've talked with (Supra owners among others) says it's a load of crap. I was planing on giving it a try even tho people say it's plain sh*t :P How well is the MS working for you in the VX?

Im just curious because ive been thinking bout megasquirt for a project of mine (not on VX) but how is this going to give you more power than you already have? Isn't your car mapped to its maximum for the parts you have already? Also what is the driveability going to be like i.ie cold start/hot start, surely it cant match the oe management for that can it.

who said anything about more power?

the whole point is if/when i upgrade some components that may unlock some power, I don't have to go back to courtenay at £90/hour and 500 mile trip

as for your other question.. why can't it?

hmm certainly looks like it would work and be nowhere near my feet. I wonder if we have those 2 mounting holes (can't tell from the pics I took and nowhere near car now :()

Just checked some old pics from my restauration, and our crossbeam looks exactly like that with the boltholes on that side. So this should just bolt on. thumbsup

I fitted an elise throttle linkage at the weekend.. (the pic above didnt give enough movement and got in the way of my big feet)
I had some help from a friend who is some kind of design person for an aerospace company, but he wasn't much use, just kept taking useless photos

this goes under the dash and amplifies the pedal movement

If it starts to squeek this is the upgrade ;)

http://www.elisepart...php?product=370

The simple pivot system on the original can start to go a bit squeeky after a few years and develop some play in the system.

Bye, Arno.

yeah got that one. Gary at eliseparts had 1 RHD plate in that he sold me (they seem to only sell LHD conversion ones normally) I really need the ball joint link from pedal to arm too, but I made something that'll work in the meanwhile (I'll take pics tonight maybe)

worth talking to jamsport about a gotech ecu... although make sure you wire it up and only get them to map it

or I could teach you the basics in exchange for a harrop or flights somewhere :P

Will start researching this. Think I might like to tinker with a stand alone as when I take the car with me to Aussie Courtenays are a bit far away  if I want to remap it

I heard there maybe something bigger than the TVS out soon so maybe my Harrop will be for sale? could do a deal, either that or where do you want to go, name your destination :D

Are you referring to that article where they fitted an M90 and later a TVS 1900 supercharger to the 2.0LSJ engine??
Bit overkill I think...
