thanks guys, just remembered i had about £2 and 3 euros in change in the cup holder
You'll be telling us next how You had just filled up with fuel too
![]()
That happened to me when my car went up in smoke. I had only owned the car 19 hours, and had just filled the fairly large tank up. Then 35 miles later, all gone.
it did
I know the irony. When my first MG got written off it had just had about £1k spent on it, and had only had a full tank of fuel. The loss adjuster did add £38 to the price for the fuel in the tank.
Was just a ballache, that in the time of the settlement being agreed that the value of MGs returned pretty much overnight. Suddenly the value agreed meant I had to go 2yrs older... So bought the shitty Vectra instead.

unfortunately as im writing this a tear is in my eye
life is all about challenges and how you grow stronger when you get through them, just for me i seem to have had my fair share already. the stuff that i have had to struggle through already in my life is challenging enough but to have my pride and joy taken away from me aswell is just physically unspeakable. this was the car that me and my dad picked out and told me to buy it (he loved the colour) and i was going to keep the car forever
however was on the way home after a good day at working on a friends car, my car unfortunately decided it wanted to no longer be alive, and below is a picture of all is left
you will notice that it is pretty close to the barrier, i did not crash it, it was parked on a hill and the handbrake cable must have melted and it rolled down next to the barrier
words cant express how heart broken i am#
the car was finished and was perfect there was nothing left that could be done... it was simply perfect
Devastated mate....... I was really looking forward to meeting you at Pembrey too......
Best of luck with the Insurance, My Wakeboarding boat sunk the other month, still arguing over the value of it. Remember never accept the first offer, or the second. Keep trying to explain how special it was and bump the payout up!

Sorry but just automatically refusing the first offer doesn't necessarily apply any more. Some of the insurers don't play that way any more. Directline and I spent quite a long time discussing this matter a few years back when my first MG was written off.
I rejected, a second assessor revalued it and offer £300 less. I pushed and pushed and only got back to the original offer.
