Its just had an MOT, it says the T belt was changed

Maybe you've already mentioned this but.... Where / who did you buy the car from? Was it like this when / before you bought it?

My astra was stage 3 running 300bhp though, if that makes a difference? Its supposed to be running 241bhp as i have the graphs from previous owner. TBH i found it hard to pull away from a Fiesta ST from second gear, he pretty much kept up untill forth gear

Did you take the handbrake off? Otherwise, it sounds fecked.

It is fecked , My NA is faster than an ST ,you have a problem.

Mine is faster, just seemed to take a while to get away. Seems like to have to rev it a lot to get the best out of it... like a type R. I've been out in a lads stage 2 turbo near me before i bought mine and it feels about the same, his maybe a little faster

A stage two Turbo and a ST your having a giraffe. You could tow another vx and still be faster.

I know it doesnt seem right. I did get away at the end of third gear/start of forth and kept on pulling away about 6 car lenths or so but from second gear to about 70 - 80 the VX struggled

It just sounds really really slow :/ Considering a standard N/A sounds quicker I can imagine something has busted?

Would they pick up whatever is wrong with it in a service or would it need to be driven?

:yeahthat: I completely smoked some chav who was truying to be a smart arse inhis st with his bird, chav twat.

A stage two should leave a few ferarris for dead let alone a piece of FWD common toss.

I never got the MOT done, kev done this before hand. Well i thought the engine noise was normal as my previous astra VXR engine was noisey like that too but was in perfect nic. Cant hear the engine that much with the lid down, can hear more of the exhaust

Tbh I've recorded engines before and on phones they sound ten times louder than they are. Remember it's a fairly similar engine to the one in the Vxr. I would put your issues down to either you can't drive, your engine is a disguised 1.2 or you have turbo/boost problems. Then again I don't know the turbo engines so that might be wrong.

Hmm my rabbit incident in my new vxt is starting to look like a stroke of luck compared to thisPosted Image

BTW mine is also a stage two and when i rev mine even with engine bay open pretty much i hear the Exhaust and yours should be smoking your old VXR let alone a fiesta

Hey up. I live near Newcastle and have came across a White ST with blue stripes when my VXT was virtually standard. It kept up fairly well for a tiny bit but was soon left for dead - I later found out from a friend who knows him that it's HEAVILY tuned! could this be the same one you came across I wonder?! Regardless of that I still embarrassed him in a nigh-on standard VXT. I'm now running a stage 2 Courtenays that would smash it's pasty so I'm assuming there is a problem with yours (Thorney can't be that bad :P ) With you being local, we could meet up and have a ride out in both to see if there's any difference or if you just have either very high expectations or had one crazy fast astra prior to the VXT… :)
