I love the female passenger at the end of the first clip saying.....'whoa stop'.

LOL

It is actually a private road though. So does this look about right for stage 2?

So you drive like that on a "private road" at speeds higher than are permitted even on a motorway, while on the way to get petrol, all while running low with the petrol light on.

That doesn't look too bad to be honest, although it has been a while since I've driven mine on a private road :D If I'm reading that correctly it is doing 30 to 80 in about 5 seconds. There are quite a few posts from a few years back with various in-gear acceleration times for Stage 2 turbos. If you have a dig around you could use those to compare with yours. Cheeky Chops posted a few times for his from 30 - 90 when his VXR was stage 2 (and did not get any grief for it either). I think it was also around 5.5-6 seconds. I'd still recommend a boost gauge. That way you can keep an eye on what the turbo and boost control solenoids are doing all the time, rather than have to resort to in-gear acceleration times to check. PS Would love a shot in the NA (other than ITB equipped cars) that accelerates that quickly

Maybe you have the right idea - to get to the petrol station as fast as you possibly can before you run out.

Posted Image Must admit just watched those 2 clips and I don't think it seemed any slower than my car (also 241bhp), didn't sound out of the ordinary either but again crap quality etc.

Looking at those two clips there doesn't seem any obvious signs that the performance is down, but there must be something not right to not smoke a fiesta! Have it checked out, but i wouldn't worry about it being knackered just yet, probably something easily sorted thumbsup

My astra was stage 3 running 300bhp though, if that makes a difference? Its supposed to be running 241bhp as i have the graphs from previous owner. TBH i found it hard to pull away from a Fiesta ST from second gear, he pretty much kept up untill forth gear

Did you take the handbrake off? Otherwise, it sounds fecked.

It is fecked , My NA is faster than an ST ,you have a problem.

Mine is faster, just seemed to take a while to get away. Seems like to have to rev it a lot to get the best out of it... like a type R. I've been out in a lads stage 2 turbo near me before i bought mine and it feels about the same, his maybe a little faster

A stage two Turbo and a ST your having a giraffe. You could tow another vx and still be faster.

I know it doesnt seem right. I did get away at the end of third gear/start of forth and kept on pulling away about 6 car lenths or so but from second gear to about 70 - 80 the VX struggled

Just a guess VXT s2 0-60 4ish 0-100 13ish st 7.5ish 18ish
Now i will have to check to see how close(or far away) i was

I no you carnt believe everything you read but sure u1l get a rough idea on here

As said it may well have been a well modded st, with a good driver. The vx did pull away.A few fast ones about.

I had a Fiesta ST bought it new when they were first released, they are not that quick standard 7.9 to 60 but Cosworth released quite a few bits for them and then mountune did which made them about on par with a 182 Let us know how you get on. You do get a hell of amount of contribution to your threads

If you are worried about the tapping noise, the first thing to do is check that the spark plugs have not come loose.
