Is yours quicker than stickys even though he has that fancy gearbox then?

Vocky's M32 box has similar ratios to mine and a gob more bhp.

Fair point however mine's got no suspension at the mo so she's similarly slow!

Two questions, please:

 I) Would I pass the noise test at Bedford with ITBs?

II) How would the extra weight of a supercharger affect the handling / springs needed?

For reference I have standard ride and springs and have noticed no major difference since sc conversion.

Good bump, not seen this one up till now. I see the OP went for the throttle bodies you will love the noise.

How is the fitting getting on? You are just down the road from me, would be good to see the car.

Pretty sure he sold the car in March time and never fitted the ITBs.

After I recently carried out SC conversion the car is not as nimble as it was ie extra weight but the extra power makes up for it, As a NA you could just go balls out, You do have to give a SC car a little more respect, I'm happy with my stage 2 but something has been lost on the road from my NA

You are the third person to utter the same words recently  " the NA lost something" when sc fitted.

Its putting me off a little as i love to rag my NA on the hoons. you can go balls out all day on the nicer twisty roads in an NA and your up and down the box and up to the red line all day and enjoy ever second  while the power cars sit in 4th.Then again on "normal" roads the power would be great for that straight line speed.

So i need a power VX for normal roads and my NA for the fun twisty bits , sorted

I drove Wreelybro's NA the other day and I loved it. You can really rag it and enjoy whereas the SC makes you so much lazier.

On a Hoon, I would take the NA, for track, give me the SC every day of the week.

My favourite subject. Breathed on NA with increased rev limit, lightened flywheel (ideally balancer shaft delete as well) plus decent suspension. Unbeatable fun.

I can't forgo the power of the 300bhp stage 3 SC now but I do continually hanker for my old NA setup and wonder at how good it could have been with the Dutch ECU reflash and some time invested in optimising the map. Like I keep saying, if that had been available 5 or 6 years ago, I'd have been in like Flynn and things may well have taken a totally different route.

Nah, I'd have still pissed a small fortune away trying to find an exhaust system I could live with. :beat:

I prefer the sc over n/a. Lovely drive but just always felt it just lacked a little oomph.
