If you're going to do it then do it properly. Now I know why JG and techie never drives their VX's. ;)

Thanks for the .org :grouphug:

I think the 'Insurance Engineer' has only made his judgement via pictures I emailed. I concur with others on here that it should be Cat B and never see the road again, not much left to dismantle.

I had NO scratches at all, the missus said to me later that night, oh look you have go a scratch on your finger! - Nope darling, I checked the if the oven was warming up last night and that's how I got that mark! :D

PS. Rossco - that's my favourite picture - it's Christmassy!

Christ... I'm glad you are okay.... gives me a bit of a cold sweat now thinking back to last Friday when my back end shimmied on a straight section of wet m27. I guess I had a very very luck escape from what could have happened.

Good to see you walked away unhurt.

Lessons:

Easy on the power in the wet.

Lotus actually built an important bit of the car properly. Reassuring.

Wow, glad you're okay. I can't recommend highly enough a Walshy day to understand what your car needs from you when it's on (or beyond) the limit.

You can have buy back, unbelievably I'm amazed it can be salvaged but then again, it'll be amazing to see what it goes for?

Good advice, it can be a 'saver' in some situations however reading the OP I wonder if it would've done the trick. I've done a few Walshy days and it's certainly taught me a lot but reading some of these similar stories I'd still have my doubts. Luckily (touch wood) I've never had to call on it in an emergency situation but I did recover an S1 from a slow-speed icy slide once that I wonder if I'd been able to do before...
